Friday Night Par 3 Shoot Out – Every hole is a par
3 so come and take advantage of this little tourney to hone up on your approach
shots before the M/G – M/M. Sign-in at 5 p.m. The format is individual scores.
The cost is $15.00 and there will be Pizza, beer and soda. For more information
and to sign up, please see the flyer in the Pro Shop. Member/Guest – Member/Member – This 2-day
tournament is a chance to get your best game together. Sign in Saturday at 10:00
a.m. and shotgun start at 11:00 a.m. The format is Two Person Best Ball. The
tournament will be flighted and the Calcutta will begin after dinner. The
tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday. The price for
both days is $150.00 per team. (carts are extra) For more information and to

fun organization with tournaments on the 3rd Sunday of each month.

The July dates for
these are – 1st, 8th, and 29th Ladies
– If you’re interested in a fun tournament, then be sure and set aside
August 12th for the Strawberry Daiquiri. This tournament will be
sponsored by the Monday Night Ladies League. The format is 4 women Captain &
Crew. It begins with a continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at
9:00 a.m. There will be food, prizes, a skin game and, of course, Daiquiris all
day long. The cost is $50.00 per person including a cart and $40.00 per person
without a cart. This tournament is open to everyone so be sure and tell your
friends. There will be a flyer and sign-up sheet in the Pro Shop. You may call
Ironwood at 635-9826 for a reservation. A deposit of ½ the team’s entry fee
($100) is required to reserve a spot. Ironwood Junior League – The junior league will
begin on July 10th and will again be coached by Charlie Duggan. They
will tee off about 8:30 a.m. This league is for ages 10 to 17. We have been very
proud of this league since we have been hosting it. This league stresses the
importance of all aspects of etiquette and has gained an impressive reputation
throughout the area. The cost is $7.00 for green fees and $2.00 for the end of
the year party. You may sign up by calling 635-9826 or stop by the clubhouse. For those of you who host tournaments at Ironwood, and
would like to see more participation or better player turn out, we would be
happy to help. We can hang up flyers and sign up sheets, put tournament
information in our newsletter, and we now have a special spot for tournament

Having been married 30 years, I took a look at my wife and said, “Honey, 30 years ago, we had a cheap apartment, a cheap car, slept on a sofa bed, and watched a 10-inch black & white TV, but I got to sleep every night with a hot 25 year old blonde.” “Now we have a nice house, nice car, big bed and a plasma screen TV, but I’m sleeping with a 60 year old woman. It seems to me that you are not holding up your end of things.” My wife is a very reasonable woman. She told me to go ahead
and go out and find a hot 25 year old blonde and she would make sure that I
would once again be living in a cheap apartment, driving a cheap car, sleeping
on a sofa bed ….. Can of WormsA minister decided that a visual demonstration would add emphasis to his Sunday sermon. Four worms were placed into four separate jars. The first worm was placed into a container of alcohol. The second worm was placed into a container of cigarette smoke. The third worm was placed into a container of chocolate syrup. The fourth worm was placed into a container of good clean oil. At the conclusion of the sermon the minister reported the following results: The first worm in alcohol – Dead The second worm in cigarette smoke – Dead The third worm in chocolate syrup – Dead The fourth worm in good clean oil – Alive The minister turned to the congregation and asked – “What can you learn from this demonstration?” Maxine, who was sitting in the back, quickly raised her hand and said, “As long as you drink, smoke and eat chocolate, you won’t have worm
